Addressing reporters here, he said the common agenda of both the CPI(M) and the Congress, the main rivals in Kerala, was to unseat the BJP regime. Except in West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura, the two parties were co-ordinating with each other.

Ravi said at the national level, there was a united political front, involving the CPI(M) and the Congress. The Congress party's economic policies would not be a hurdle before the formation of such a coalition, he said.

He said the electorate had realised the issues raised by the Congress in the elections. The BJP was now trying 'shamelessly' to woo minority votes, as they knew that their campaign was on the wrong route, he said.

Ravi said the BJP's relentless attack against Sonia Gandhi on the issue of her foreign origin had failed to work. The electorate could understand the ground realities, he said.
