Meanwhile, both the major parties - BJP and Congress — had to change several candidates too on the last day of withdrawing candidature for the civic bodies' polls on Saturday.

In Raisen, Congress made Rajendra Rathod, the official candidate for the post of chairman, replacing Rajkumar Yadav, whose name was announced earlier. The same happened in the BJP which changed candidates in Ashoknagar and Khujner.

KHURAI: In a high-voltage drama at Khurai in Sagar district, all Congress candidates' forms, including that of the chairman's, were cancelled by returning officer citing technical reason.
