The Congress on Saturday took a potshot at the BJP, saying the ruling party is obsessed with it and the anti-Congress rhetoric is just a way of “hoodwinking” people and “hiding its failures”.

The party also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “misleading” people on the WTO issue.

“BJP leaders appear to have been either afflicted by severe Congress phobia or are obsessed by the party. Their fear of the Congress is such that they seem to have forgotten that they are now the ruling party and not the opposition,” party general secretary Ajay Maken said.

“The PM, Amit Shah and other leaders, all speak of a ‘Congress-Mukt Bharat’ but it seems they have not been able to exonerate their thoughts and views of Congress… their thoughts are yet not Congress Mukt.”

“I would give them this unsolicited advice that now they are the party in power, they should stop talking about Congress-Mukt Bharat and start working towards a Sampradayikta-Mukt (communal free), Mahangai-Mukt (inflation free) and Dharmik Unmad-Mukt Bharat (religious tension free India),” Maken said.
