"We condemn the UPA for its wrong policies and demand the resignation of Singh for having failed at all fronts," BJP Mahila Morcha's two-day national executive said in a political resolution passed on the concluding day of the meet.

The UPA regime was adopting all "anti-people policies. There was a steep hike in inflation, corruption, terrorist activities, Naxal violence and atrocities against women have increased," the resolution said.

During the UPA regime, prices of petro-products have increased seven times and the increase in prices of essential commodities have made the life of the common man difficult, it claimed.

The resolution claimed that corruption has increased under Manmohan Singh's rule.

"The Volkar report has exposed the Gandhi family and the Congress party in the the oil-for-food scam. However, Natwar Singh is being made the scapegoat now," it said.

On the ongoing controversy over the singing of Vande Mataram on September 7, BJP Mahila Morch said, "Opposition to Vande Mataram is an anti-national act and the Union Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh is unnecessarily creating a controversial issue on it, which is highly condemnable."
