City president Ranjit Singh called upon the workers to start a campaign to complete the target of inducting 50,000 members. He asked the workers to invite membership after apprising them with the party policies.

The process of including new names in the electoral list was already underway so the workers should start door-to-door contact with the residents in the city area.

Singh also instructed the workers to complete sector meetings till February 20 in view of the Nagar Nigam elections.

The meeting also decided to send maximum representatives for the BJP Mahila Morcha convention to be held in Lucknow on February 9 and 10.

Navratan Katayal, Kunj Bihari Mishra, Rajendra Mishra, Anamika Chaudhry, Ganesh Keshar, Brijesh Mishra and Hamida Bano spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, BJP district president Narendra Deo Pandey described the move to elevate Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav as a wrong signal for the Indian democracy.

In a statement released here, Pandey said the Congress and Samajwadi Party were focusing on the family rule once again.
