Keeping up its propaganda blitz just ahead of assembly polls in the four states, BJP on Friday came out with another theory which claims the party would displace Congress in Rajashtan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Chhattisgarh.
Digging up past election results in states, the party coined the 'Rate of Return' theory to claim that Congress would face defeat in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Delhi assembly polls stated for December one.
"In the last 20 years, the assembly election results have shown that the Congress has always lost out wherever it had been in power as it happened in Andhra Pradesh (1983 and 1994), Assam (1985 and 1996), Gujarat (1990), Haryana (1987 and 1996)," party spokesman Prakash Javadekar told reporters here.
He said Congress had also lost out in Kerala (1987 and 1996), Maharashtra (1995), Orissa (1990 and 2000) and Punjab (1989 and 1997).
