To cash in on the migrant vote bank, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to rope in political leaders from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand including MLAs, MPs and ministers to woo the voters who have migrated to Delhi from these states.

But with seven MPs and majority of MLAs in the house, the Congress is confident and is getting fewer leaders to campaign in Delhi.

Delhi BJP co-in-charge Rameshwar Chaurasia said around 20 BJP MLAs from Bihar will be coming to campaign for the party's candidates in the upcoming civic polls.

A source from the BJP said that former chief minister of Uttarakhand Bhagat Singh Koshiyari and senior leader from Uttar Pradesh Kalraj Mishra may also join.

"General workers, spokesperson, etc., from Rajasthan and Uttarakhand will also come. The big leaders are expected to mobilise the voters who have shifted to Delhi from those states," said the party member.

BJP MPs Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Shahnawaz Khan and Ravi Shankar Prasad along with ministers from Bihar, Ashwini Choubey, Nand Kishor Yadav and deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar will be the party's star campaigners for the MCD polls.
