Addressing mediapersons in Hisar, senior party leader Ganeshi Lal said national BJP chief Rajnath Singh met INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala in New Delhi on humanitarian grounds and other conclusions (of alliance) should not be drawn from the meeting. He said the BJP's resolve was to fight corruption.

He claimed that the party would be able to get mayoral posts in all seven urban local bodies.

He flayed Congress chief Phool Chand Mullana's statement wherein he reportedly had stated that the Congress did not fight street-level elections. "They do not give due importance to common man. That is why its party chief is saying so," he said.
