A day after the house was adjourned on this issue, Speaker Ishwardas Rohani allowed debate on the adjournment motion with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s concurrence. Former chief minister Digvijay Singh, who initiated the debate, narrated the ‘genesis’ of the clash that culminated into slapping of the attempt to murder charge against Uma Bharti. His graphic narration of the incident provoked BJP uproar several times. Even the Speaker objected to the manner Digvijay presented the ‘Shiv-Uma Samvad’ at Jaitpur.

According to Singh, the spat between Shivraj and Uma at Jaitpur on October 27 over landing of helicopter led the Sadhvi to suspect a conspiracy of murder against her. And, the incident in Sarora village on October 30 proved that despite enjoying Z-plus category security cover, she is not safe in Madhya Pradesh

Several other BJP leaders vociferously fulminated against the Sadhvi. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, however, exercised restraint. An emotional Chouhan said he would prefer to die than think about plotting any one’s killing.
He reiterated that he never killed even an ant in his life. Chouhan emphatically said that Uma Bharti was provided all the necessary security meant for the Z-plus security holder.

He also said that he has a CD of the entire incident showing the role of the Uma supporters. Leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi said that the incident involving Uma Bharti was just a trailer of the deteriorating situation of the women in the State.
