"We will highlight the three issues. The BJP will confront the government. I charge the Union government with being insensitive and incapable and useless in tackling these issues," senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu said in Chennai.

Except for taking precautionary action, the government had not done anything even after numerous terrorism-related incidents, including e-mail threats, he said.

The government had shown a "casual" approach even after the Supreme Court awarded the death penalty to Mohammed Afzal Guru for his role in the 2001 attack on Parliament, he said.

Referring to price rise, Naidu said the country had never seen such a silence by allies of the government, including the Left parties, over this issue. There has been a steep hike in prices of various commodities, he said.
