Talking to the Hindustan Times, Bhadoria, who happened to be the party affairs in-charge for Budhni assembly by-poll also, said the BJP would raise the issue of lack of development in the area during the five-year term of Uma Bharati’s brother Swami Prasad Lodhi, who represented the constituency in the State Assembly, and Uma Bharati’s nine-month tenure as the CM. The party would highlight the development carried out in the constituency during Chouhan’s tenure, he added.

He said Bada Malehra town did not have any degree college in so many decades after Independence. The CM during his visit yesterday not only announced opening of the college but even implemented the announcement then and there by getting started the college in a rented accommodation. Today was the second day of the admission process at the college.

Nonetheless, the party would see to it that only those leaders went to Bada Malehra and only such resources were used for electioneering that were most required.

He said Bada Malehra was definitely a big challenge for him. But given the mood of people he had gauged during his visit to 52 places in the constituency so far he was confident that BJP would have comfortable victory over its rivals, he added. He said the CM’s public meeting at Bada Malehra was historic in Chhatarpur.

People of the constituency wanted to see overall development in the constituency in the remaining two and half years term of the government, he added.

Talking of the candidature Bhadoria said he told people everywhere that the party’s candidate had already been declared. The candidate was the party’s symbol — Lotus. However, the party would select the candidate with a clean image, he added.
