Lashing out at the Central Government for hiking petro products’ prices, national president of the BJP, Rajnath Singh said the party would stage a nationwide chakka jam from 11 am to 1 pm on Wednesday.

“ The leaders and activists have been directed not to disturb ambulances and vehicles carrying school children,” he said. He added he would lead the demonstration at New Delhi. Singh was talking to media persons here in the Circuit House on Tuesday evening.
“It is well known whenever the UPA increased prices of petroleum products, prices of essential products also increased. This time also there would be a price hike affecting the common people. The UPA during its two-year tenure increased the prices for the seventh time. Petrol was increased around 45 per cent while diesel by 50 per cent during the period.”
He flayed the Left parties alleging they had been shedding crocodile tears by saying they would also oppose the price increase. He said it was difficult to comprehend the real character of the communist parties as they supported the UPA and also flayed the price hike. In response to a query over the issue of the office of profit, he said the President had returned the Bill. He said the BJP had already predicted this would happen. He expected from the government to present the Bill in Parliament keeping in view the sentiments of the President.
Commenting over the newly-floated political party, People Democratic Front, he said it was a glaring example of caste and religion based politics. The people of this party were those very persons who had accused the BJP for being communal.
