“The party made some delay in the declaration of its candidate from Rae Bareli but it was a part of a well-planned strategy to fight the election seriously,” he said.

Talking to the mediapersons here on Wednesday, Tripathi disclosed that the BJP would contest the Rae Bareli election on issues like terrorism, reservation on religious basis, scams of Congress, internal security and price-hike.

Lashing out at the SP, he said, earlier an attempt was made by the Union Government to find out the number of Muslims in the Army and now, efforts are being made by the UP government to collect such data in education and health departments.

The government departments have also fallen victim to minority appeasement policy of the Centre and UP governments.

Commenting over the recent outbreak of violence in Aligarh, he said, the State government was trying to give it a shape of communal flare up but it was a clash between some Muslims and police.
