Leader of BJP Legislature Party in the Assembly and former state BJP president Ashok Khajuria on Wednesday said that his party would win both the Lok Sabha seats in Jammu province and the lone Ladakh seat "hands down".
"The people of Jammu province and Ladakh region are determined to decimate the pro-separatist Congress and NC and contribute to BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's '272+ Congress-free India' mission," said Khajuria.
He said the Ghulam Nabi Azad-led coalition government did more harm to Jammu and the nation as compared to other parties.
To substantiate his point, Khajuria said that Azad tore into pieces the Wazir Commission report that had recommended three districts for Jammu and one for Kashmir and, instead, created four new districts in Kashmir.
"The BJP will also perform reasonably well in the Kashmir Valley, where people are making common cause with Modi," Khajuria said and added that the "mortally afraid ruling coalition has unleashed a hate campaign against Modi to hoodwink and mislead people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh".
"The refugees from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), refugees from West Pakistan, refugees of 1965 and 1971 and border migrants are all chaffing and seething with anger. The youth of Jammu province is angry as they have no place in the scheme of things of the ruling Congress and the NC because of successive Kashmiri-dominated and Valley-centric governments," Khajuria said.
