BJP worker killed in Rajkot attack

A BJP worker was killed by alleged Congress supporters Sunday evening, just after taking out a victory rally in Jangleshwar.

One BJP worker was killed and at least four others were seriously injured when they were attacked by alleged Congress supporters on Sunday evening just after taking out a victory rally in Jangleshwar area of Rajkot district, police sources said.

Rajkot police refused to divulge further information and said that case is being investigated.

Police sources in Rajkot said the incident took place when a procession marking the victory of BJP MLA Tapu Bhai Limbasia was passing through minority-dominated Jangleshwar.

The processionsts were attacked with lethal weapons, they said.
