BJYM rumpus in BMC office

THE BHARATIYA Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers of Budhwara Mandal today created rumpus at the office of Bhopal Municipal Corporation?s zone-5 at Acharya Narendra Dev Library in protest against water crisis in some areas. The BMC administration has filed an FIR against the demonstrators with the Talaiya police station.

THE BHARATIYA Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers of Budhwara Mandal today created rumpus at the office of Bhopal Municipal Corporation’s zone-5 at Acharya Narendra Dev Library in protest against water crisis in some areas. The BMC administration has filed an FIR against the demonstrators with the Talaiya police station.

According to information, the demonstrators broke earthen pots inside the office and the turned the tables of some women employees sitting there. About a dozen employees, including accountant D P Shrivastava, were present in the office. One of the women employees fell unconscious after seeing the unruly scenes in the office. The demonstrators broke the earthen pots kept in the office for storing drinking water.

Later on, BMC zonal officer Y R Gadpale filed the FIR against Anil Sahu and 15 others at Talaiya police station for obstructing government functioning. The BJYM’s Budhwara Mandal unit, however, said that they would continue to demonstrate in case the water crisis continued.

BJYM district president Rahul Rajput was also present on the occasion. It is learnt that this was an unscheduled demonstration and there was no prior information in this regard.
