Four people were injured in an explosion in a cinema hall in Hyderabad late on Saturday.

The incident took place at the end of the second show of `Lakshmi', a Telugu film, at Odeon Delux, in the heart of city.

People ran helter-skelter as there was panic in the entire hall.

The Chikkadpally police reached the spot and shifted the injured to Gandhi hospital.

One of the injured, an 18-year-old girl, was reportedly serious, the police said.

The Odeon campus has three theatres -- Odeon 70 mm, Odeon Mini and Odeon Delux. The explosion took place in the balcony of Odeon Delux, the police said.

A team of forensic experts also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. However, the police are yet to comment on the explosion and the culprits responsible for it.
