An explosion in the Pakistani city of Quetta injured 14 people and caused widespread damage, media reports said on Sunday.

State-run television PTV said a homemade bomb strapped to a bicycle left near a row of restaurants on Prince Road went off.

Another television channel said the injured included a woman and five children. Two cars, several restaurants and shops were damaged.
Quetta is the capital of Balochistan that has been rocked by a tribal insurgency supported by nationalists demanding rights over gas and other natural resources of the province, which borders Iran and Afghanistan.
