After completion of construction about one and half years back, the Apex Bank administration has been using the Samanway Bhawan as auditorium for holding various programmes. This is also being used as meeting hall.
However, the bank has been using the parking space left at the ground floor for commercial use. Presently, on this space a sale of readymade clothes is on.

According to approved map, the basement and ground floor of the Samanway Bhawan should be used for parking space but half of the ground floor is rented out.

BMC officials said though there is no illegal construction in the parking lot, this is a case of space misuse. Sources said that the BMC officials today examined all the documents related to the building permission issued for Samanway Bhawan.

BMC additional commissioner Vaid Prakash said that a notice for the misuse of parking space was issued to Samanway Bhawan. On the other hand, Apex Bank general manager AS Yadav claimed that all the activities being run are legal. He, however, said that he would look into the documents to know the right status.
