Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh and Chemical & Fertilisers Minister Ram Vilas Paswan also attended the meeting in Delhi.

Following the meeting, a buoyed BMHRC management today slapped a fresh notice for the agitating employees asking them either to fall in line and submit an apology and a formal application for reappointment till January 13 or else ‘leave the campus lock, stock and barrel’.

It further warned of forcible eviction following January 13 ‘to enable the management to accommodate fresh appointees’.

The fresh notice bearing reference to Justice Ahmadi’s meeting with the Prime Minister has sent the agitating staff into tizzy, as it seems end of the road for them. Still, many of them seemed unwilling to apologise in the proforma given by the management.

“The kind of apology they are seeking is humiliating and the Trust has deliberately used such words in the proforma for insulting us.

We had sent a joint application and a regret letter to Justice Ahmadi for his approval but he wants nothing less than humiliating the staff”, said one of the representatives of the staff.

He said majority of the employees were not ready to apologise in the manner it is being sought but job is also important for them.
