A flying squad headed by finance and revenue officer Shiv Singh found eight teachers engaged in invigilation at Durga Model Uchcha Madhyamik School, Rawatpur, without proper approval of the authorities concerned.

However, they did have identity cards issued by the district inspector of schools, said Singh. He indicated that the authorities had not kept tabs on issuance of identity cards.

Three High School students appearing in the English-I paper were booked by Singh and his team for copying.

Singh said action was being taken against centre head Pradeep Mishra of the Pt Beni Singh Inter College, Bhitar Gaon. Besides, all eight teachers were removed from duty.

Singh said many centres were facilitating copying through dictation.

“Our team observed that examinees felt nervous in our presence at the Rahul Memorial Inter College in Yashoda Nagar.”

In the meantime, 29 students were caught copying in Kanpur Dehat district and a few in Kanpur City.

Police arrested two students Sandeep and Subhas and assured necessary action to annoyed teachers. Thereafter, the examination began half-an-hour late.

The examination began 30 minutes late at the Balram Inter College, Neuari, as well.
