Boatman, weaver and grandson of BHU founder to be Modi's proposers

Boatman Veerbhadra Nishad and weaver Ashok will be among four proposers of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Boatman Veerbhadra Nishad and weaver Ashok will be among four proposers of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Other two proposes of Modi are renowned classical singer Padma Bhushan Channulal Mishra and former justice of Allahabad high court Giridhar Malaviya, grandson son of BHU founder Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. Their names were cleared earlier by BJP leaders.

Veerbhadra Nishad and Ashok's name were finalized late on Wednesday evening.

Modi would file his nomination papers on Thursday, last date of nomination process. Polling in Varanasi would take place on May 12, in the last phase.

Channulal Mishra is an exponent of the Kirana Gharana of Indian classical music.
