Bollinger last played for Australia in South Africa last year before a hamstring injury kept him out of contention for the home series against New Zealand and India.

It was the same time when youngsters likes James Pattinson and Patrick Cummins grabbed the opportunity while the more experienced Ben Hilfenhaus made a remarkable comeback to the side.

Bollinger, 30, now knows he will have to come up with something special to break into the national team.

"I just got to keep on taking wickets and hope it gets noticed by Cricket Australia," Bollinger said during an interaction. "I was bowling well in SA and then the injury happened. Now with the other guys doing so well, it has become very tough for any bowler to make the team."
