Earlier, Dutt, accused number 117, had waited patiently for his chance to sign the attendance register inside the special TADA court. Dutt had arrived at the Arthur Road jail premises, where he spent 18 months, wearing his favourite blue shirt and denims. The special TADA judge holds court within the jail premises.

The actor was accompanied by sister Priya Dutt and state minister Baba Siddiqui. The verdict on Dutt is likely to take some time, as the court will pronounce the verdict in batches.

When HT asked him for his reaction, Dutt just said: "Sab bhagwan ke haat mein hai (Everything is up to God)." Industry sources say Rs 100 crore is riding on movies signed by Dutt. "An adverse court verdict will definitely affect the industry financially," said a source.
