A bomb was found in a reserved coach of a Sealdah-bound Express train shortly before it was to leave Dhupguri station in Jalpaiguri district on Friday.

An anonymous phone call informed the station authorities that a bomb was kept in the Teesta-Torsha Express following which the train was stopped at the eleventh hourt, police said.

After a thorough search, the bomb was found in a black plastic bag in S1 coach, which was second from the engine, Superintendent of Railway Police Mahendra Singh Punia said.
The coach was dettached and cordoned off while passengers of the entire train were off loaded, he said adding the police were searching other coaches also.
