A bomb disposal squad with sniffer dogs was rushed to a public library at Pune's Narayanpeth area on Tuesday morning after an anonymous caller claimed that a bomb was planted there, police said.

However, it turned out to be a hoax, they said.
"We received a call at 9.55 am, saying that there was a bomb at a public library located at Narayanpeth. A bomb disposal squad and a team of sniffer dogs was rushed to the site and a thorough search was carried out but no bomb was found", Police Commissioner DN Jadhav said.
He said that attempts were being made to create panic among the people and asked everyone to be alert.
