Two anonymous calls on Sunday night claimed that some explosive devices have been placed aboard the Chennai-Bangalore Shatabdi express and Chennai-Jaipur express, following both trains were halted at Thirunavalur and Elavur, around 90-Kms and 70-kms respectively from Chennai.

Police teams, including bomb disposal squad, rushed to both the trains but nothing was found, they said.

Due to the searches, Shatabdi suffered a delay of two hours, while the Jaipur-bound train three-and-a-half hours, sources added.
