Bomb scare at NTPC, Farakka project site

A round object, with wires coming out from two sides, caused bomb scare at the Divisional Manager's office of NTPC Farkka project, in Murshidabad district on Saturday evening, police said.

CISF jawans cordoned off the office compound after evacuating NTPC employees, Superintendent of Police Rahul Srivastava said.
Personnel of bomb squad went to the spot.

The incident caused a flutter as the Divisional Manager's compound is a high-security zone where entry of outsiders is prohibited.
