The DC issued these directions in a review meeting of the public works department, which has been entrusted with the task of construction of buildings of health, education and sports departments at proposed sites.

He also directed the PWD not to re-tender the projects after these fail to receive response on the issuance of the tender for the third time. The DC took serious note to tendering of some projects for about 10 times and said it's wastage of public money.

He directed that the PWD shall not initiate construction of buildings unless the land is identified by the department concerned, handed over to executing division and entry is made in revenue records to avoid any litigation.

The DC said the assistant commissioner (revenue) has been entrusted with the task of looking into issues related to land and more than 12 issues have been settled.

Examining the inspection reports furnished by district statistics and evaluation officer, the DC directed the departments to complete all the works within next two weeks, failing which action shall be initiated against delinquent field officials.

The meeting was attended by PWD SE PS Sehgal, CMO Dr Mohd Younis, CEO Ashok Sanyal, PWD XENs Kabir Shah, TL Thapa, Ved Angurana, PMGSY XENs Rajesh Gupta, Anil Pandoi, CPO GL Sharma, AD (planning) Megha Baogia and Ashok Kumar.
