Book criminal cases against defacers: HC

The Delhi HC ordered the police to register criminal cases against those defacing public places and properties.

The Delhi High Court today ordered the police to register criminal cases against those defacing public places and properties and also asked the Chief Secretary to prepare a blueprint to curb the menace.

A Division Bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Vijender Jain passed the directions on a PIL which complained that public places and properties continued to be defaced by political parties, organisations and advertisers despite several earlier directives from the court against such practices.
