Ravindra Jadeja bowled a good line and has an arm ball, which comes at varying heights and pace, especially if you’re bowling second. His miserly spell pulled back South Africa at a critical time in Jaipur. Two man-of-the-match awards in 20 games is a good start to any career. He is a livewire on the field too. All he needs is to turn up with the bat.

India can invest in him for the 2011 World Cup as a bowling all-rounder even though a medium-pace multifaceted cricketer is still a desired option for the captain. India also need to unleash a few fresh fast bowling hopefuls. Sudeep Tyagi can do more than just carry a few drinks. It’s time the selectors weigh their choices about Sreesanth. It wasn’t funny how the tail-enders smashed him with impunity in Jaipur.

Between Praveen Kumar and Ashish Nehra, India need the support of a Tyagi or a young fast bowler. Otherwise, this Indian attack still looks heavily loaded in favour of spinners.

On a short square ground, India will also have to consider if a wrist spinner in Amit Mishra is the way to go or R Ashwin is allowed to cut his teeth in international cricket. India must look to wrap it up in Gwalior.
