Chandrashekhar Maurya, 17, has revealed that after his abduction, he was made to do what the police suspect to be a dry run of a terrorist attack on the Kashi Vishwanath temple. On the basis of his story, Senior Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Pandey has released sketches of two suspected terrorists who were among the four people who allegedly made Maurya do the dry run.

The district police have been put on high alert for Dussehra and Bharat Milap, which fall on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Incidentally, the sketches match the description of the two terrorists who are absconding after the Shramjeevi Express blast in Jaunpur last year.

Maurya claims he was kidnapped by four car-borne terrorists from the Alinagar area of Chandauli on September 20. They reportedly detained him in a house for two days and then took him to Varanasi for a day and showed him the temple.

After his escape, he went to a police station and told his story to an officer there. That policeman informed the Intelligence Bureau. After an inquiry, the Delhi police brought him to back Chandauli. Sources said the boy told the police that the terrorists threatened him with dire consequences if he revealed their plan.

Maurya is back with his parents now but the police are keeping a close watch on him and trying to ascertain whether his story is the truth.
