“To counter mob frenzy and fear psychosis being created against JNU, we will conduct a march on Thursday,” said Shehla Rashid Shora, joint secretary, JNUSU.

While JNUTA called for a strike on Tuesday, some teachers said they will continue giving classes. Classes were conducted in some departments, including Center for Sanskrit Studies, School of Computer and System Sciences.

While students were protesting inside, right-wing leader Sadhvi Prachi visited JNU to protest against alleged anti-national activities on the campus.

Sadhvi Prachi was, however, not allowed to enter the premises.

“Those raising anti-national slogans should be hanged and those supporting them should also be booked for anti-national activities. Rahul Gandhi’s Parliament membership should be revoked for supporting the accused,” she said.

ABVP held a rally on the campus demanding dismissal of teachers who supported students accused in the case. “We will not stop our struggle till action is taken against anti-national students,” said Saurabh Sharna, joint secretary JNUSU and ABVP member.
