According to Singh, the information given to them, the MLAs would only be allowed to discuss the issue of converting Madhya Pradesh into a Golden State and nothing else, during the session
.
"This amounted to a violation of the rights of not only the MLAs but also the rights of the people of Madhya Pradesh," he said.

Singh said that Madhya Pradesh could not become a Golden State unless problems pertaining to various issues including corruption, lack of power, dismal water situation and law and order situation were addressed properly.

He said that the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the State Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Narottam Mishra had misled the people by saying that the Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, Jamuna Devi had given her consent for the special session.
