A BSF jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at Manipur's Imphal East district, official sources said on Sunday.

The incident took place on Saturday when Pravin Kumar (43), a resident of Bambera in Samastipur district of Bihar, shot himself with his service rifle at his post at Mantripurkhri area, they said.

Further investigations are on, they said.
