"We have also strengthened our guards, intensified patrol and keeping a close vigil along the international border so that no one can sneak into our territory for sabotage," BSF IG SK Dutta who is in-charge of Tripura, Mizoram and Cachar district in Assam said.

"We will not leave any stone unturned to guard and dominate the border," he said.

"The BSF was more concerned about ISI operations and Al-Qaeda trying to set up base in that country as they were indulging insurgents of the north-east region by imparting training and funding," Dutta said.

He said BSF and its Bangladesh counterpart BDR were conducting coordinated patrolling along the 856 kms long border for the last four months.

"The BSF will now launch coordinated operations in the border along with other security agencies," he said.
