BSNL services remain suspended for 10 hours

Lakhs of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) subscribers in Nahan, Dadahu and other areas in the district were affected, as their broadband and mobile services remained suspended for over 10 hours on Sunday.

Lakhs of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) subscribers in Nahan, Dadahu and other areas in the district were affected, as their broadband and mobile services remained suspended for over 10 hours on Sunday.

Services could not be restored before evening as most of the officers and employees were on Sunday leave.

BSNL general manager Pardeep Kumar said the problem had occurred due to damage to underground optical fiber lines in rural areas.

Claiming that it was the first time that BSNL services had remained suspended for such a long period, Kumar said three teams were formed immediately to restore the services.
