A BSP leader from Jharkhand opened fire during a clash over property rights, injuring two people at a village in Varanasi.

Senior Superintendent of Police Vijay Prakash said angry villagers attacked his house after an altercation last night.
Pal's home was pelted with stones. Villagers also torched a Toyota Qualis SUV and two motorcycles, provoking him to open fire.
Two youths suffered bullet injuries -- one of them in the chest -- and were rushed to a private nursing home.
An extra police contingent was deployed in the area in view of tense situation, the SSP said.
