BSY files petition challenging issue of summons

Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa today filed a writ petition in the high court challenging issue of summons in one of the private complaints in which he along with his family members have been charged with denotification of government land for pecuniary gain.

Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa on Thursday filed a writ petition in the high court challenging issue of summons in one of the private complaints in which he along with his family members have been charged with denotification of government land for pecuniary gain.

Yeddyurappa filed the petition challenging the issue of summons on August 8 by Lokayukta court in the complaint in which he along with nine others including his sons,son-in-law, a sitting MLA and a former minister are accused.

This is one of the five complaints filed by Sirajin Basha, a city-based advocate.

Yeddyurappa resigned as chief minister after the Lokayukta report indicted him on illegal mining.
