Budding woman cricketer makes it to top-30 list

Budding state cricketer Anisha Ansari, who generates a speed of around 89 kmph behind his bowling, has been given the pride of place among 30 top women cricketers of the country in the under-19 category.

Budding state cricketer Anisha Ansari, who generates a speed of around 89 kmph behind his bowling, has been given the pride of place among 30 top women cricketers of the country in the under-19 category.

Hailing from an economically weak family of the town and an intermediate student, Anisha, wants to be the fastest blower in the world. Currently Jhulan Goswami is the fastest bowler in the realm of women's cricket, bowling at the speed of around 120 kmph.

Interacting with Hindustan Times Anisha said the shortlisted 30 players have a camp to attend from May 11 to June 4 in Andhra Pradesh, on the basis of which the top 15 players would be shortlisted to represent India in under-19 category.

The young cricketer said she required to be more fit to enhance her bowling speed. In the inter-zone cricket tournament, Anisha scalped 11, 9 and 19 wickets in 2010, 2011 and 2012, respectively. She also got a chance to play with international woman player Anjual Chopra during a match at Una recently.
