Burdwan blast: TMC tries to put up a brave face

The opposition also highlighted the fact that one of the accused’s father-in-law was a TMC leader in Murshidabad.

“We have been saying that the ruling party is harbouring fundamentalist in Bengal which has been proved right. For this precise reason the state government is not co-operating with NIA. It is dangerous vote-bank politics which is being played by the ruling party in Bengal and it is against the national security,” said Siddhath Nath Singh, general secretary, BJP.

Just after the Lok Sabha polls BJP has already raised the issue. Recently the issue of SIMI links of one of TMC’s Rajya Sabha MP was highlighted.

On Monday, in a social networking site party MP and Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee targeted Subramanium Swamy who initiated a series of attacks on the West Bengal chief minister in Facebook and Twitter. Banerjee also plans to go for a dharna in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
