The drivers are facing difficulty in halting buses at dedicated stops as auto drivers park their vehicles at these places.

With this, drivers are left with no other option than to halt buses in the middle of roads.

“We are forced to stop the bus in the middle of the road to pick and drop passengers. This causes traffic jams. The designated stops have been occupied by auto drivers. The city police should decongest these stops, especially at Metro stations, which witness huge footfalls,” said a bus driver.

Meanwhile, the city traffic police said they would take necessary steps to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

“As the city bus service is on a trial run, auto drivers will be instructed to follow the traffic rules. We won’t tolerate any traffic violation,” a senior traffic police official told Hindustan Times.
