The resumption of Delhi-Lahore bus service has brought a ray of hope for a Pakistani boy who is losing his eyesight with each passing day.
Thanks to the bus service, Faraz Ahmed (12) along with his parents crossed over to India from Pakistan today for operation of his eyes in Lucknow.
Imran Ahmed, the boy's father, told mediapersons here that it had become very difficult for Faraz to continue his studies as his eyes were getting weaker day by day following a head injury sustained two years ago.
Imran said doctors in Pakistan suggested early operation as Faraz's one eye had almost lost vision.
"This involved a lot of money and it is very difficult for a middle class family to afford such a treatment in Pakistan. We lost all hopes," he said.
"But the resumption of Delhi-Lahore bus service rekindled our hopes," said Imran adding that "my family was given visa on priority basis for early treatment of my son in India".
