Just days before the Republican convention begins Aug 30, the Bush-(Dick)Cheney 2004 campaign launched www.GeorgeWBush.com/APA, an Asian Pacific American website. It said this group of citizens would play an important role in the campaign's grassroots operation and in the November election.

"Our website showcases the president's strong record and shared values with our community. I encourage Asian Pacific Americans to log on and learn more about ways of getting involved in our grassroots operation," said Mina Nguyen, Bush-Cheney '04 Regional Coalitions Director.

The website claims the president's re-election campaign has recruited close to 10,000 Asian Pacific American Bush volunteers and has over 60 county, state, and regional chairs across the country.

Ten Indian Americans are attending the Convention as delegates, alternates and at-large delegates.
