US President George W Bush, in a discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin, has hailed Moscow's efforts to resolve the Iran nuclear issue.

This includes its proposal to set up uranium enrichment venture with Tehran.
Bush called up Putin on Wednesday night to discuss Iran's nuclear case and the efforts being made by Russia and international community in the sphere of non-proliferation, local NTV channel reported.
"Bush lauded Moscow's efforts in resolving the issue, including proposal to float a joint venture with Iran on the Russian soil for the enrichment of uranium fuel," it said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin had called for setting up a network of uranium recycling facilities in the recognised members of the nuclear club for use by other countries, without any discrimination.
