While it plans to expand its customer base by over three times in next three years, it will open a sales office at Chennai in addition to the two in Mumbai and Delhi.

"We wish to reach 1,000 customers in the next three years from the current 300," Company Business Development Director India/SAARC Sanjay Deshmukh said adding Chennai office will come up shortly.

Deshmukh said the company will continue to focus on partner-centric model for distribution, consulting and implementing for increasing the share in the pie.

Asked on industry segments of focus, he said retail and financial sectors were early adopters of BI software while telecom continues to invest in it.

"The new industry segments will be the BPO sector, which is fast realising the importance of business intelligence to monitor performance," he said.

In the next two years, the government will be the biggest customer in BI space with huge data to be managed, he added.
