Jaywant Hergude, senior police inspector of Malwani police station, said: “On Sunday, when Pawan’s father went to wake him up, he found Pawan hanging in the balcony by a nylon rope. Nandlala rushed him to hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.”

The police are investigating the reason behind his death.

Pawan had recently started working with a call centre at Malad and was doing MBA from a private university.
“We have found that Pawan had received a call around 1.45 am from his girlfriend. When we asked the neighbours, they too told us that they had seen Pawan talking on phone late in the night,” added Hergude.

The police suspect that Pawan might have committed suicide after the phone call. They suspect that rejection from a girl might be the reason behind Pawan taking such a drastic step.

During the return journey, the train will terminate at Andheri station.
