Now, there is an option. Just switch on the ‘I am busy’ app on your phone and ensure that the caller gets a customised SMS telling him that you will call him later.

The app was launched on December 22, 2010, by Kamal Trivedi, who is a full-time mobile developer with Nokia. “For me, just clicking the ignore button or getting a missed call when I was busy was not enough. To make use of the app, all one needs to do is download it on to the phone, free of cost. When you are busy, just open the app and all calls from then on will get a customised message. You can change the message at any time. The app also sends the caller your current location information, but this feature can be switched off.

However, there are some limitations. Currently, the app is compatible only with Android phones. Also, the messages cannot be customised according to each caller. “We’ve faced some problems and are right now working on removing them,” says Trivedi, who is now working to develop the app for other phones like Blackberry and Nokia models.
