The University of Cambridge's Judge Business School has opened its new Centre for India & Global Business by launching its website and an inaugural lecture in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The University of Cambridge's Judge Business School has opened its new Centre for India & Global Business by launching its website and an inaugural lecture in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The Centre is devoted to the study of India's leading role in the global economy with a vision to serve as a collaborative platform that engages multiple stakeholders from India, UK and other countries.

Professor Jaideep Prabhu, the first Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business and Enterprise at the University of Cambridge, will deliver a series of four inaugural lectures in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.

Commenting on the launch of the new Centre, Professor Prabhu said: "India stands today at a threshold of greatness. Its young population combined with its service economy predisposes it to play an important role in the global knowledge economy of tomorrow.

"The Centre for India & Global Business, based at Judge Business School, at the heart of Cambridge University, aims to generate cutting-edge thought leadership by bringing together business, academic and policy leaders from around the world to understand, promote and engage with Indian innovators.
