THE CANDIDATES, contesting the mayoral election, on Friday stepped up their campaign to woo voters.
Samjawadi Party (SP) candidate Vinod Chandra Dubey contacted voters in Muthiganj, Kydganj, Kathghar, Kalayani Devi to seeking their support.
Addressing a meeting at Gharwa, he said that if he won the election, the city would get proper drainage system, toilets and development of localities.
Shailendra Kumar, MP, also addressed the meeting.
BJP mayoral candidate Vijay Kumar Mishra visited various localities in Naini ward. He said that the mayors elected earlier, had no vision as a result the much-needed development of the city could not take place.
BSP leader Puja Pal addressed a meeting at the gate of AG office in support of Kumar Narayan. She appealed to the voters to uproot the most corrupt SP in the election.
Rajiv Agrawal, United Democratic Front candidate, contacted the voters in Sadiabad, Chhota Baghara, Allenganj and Behraina to seek support.
Anupam Jaiswal, an independent candidate for, launched a door-to-door campaign in Kydganj, Neta Nagar, Bai Ka Bagh, Nai Basti, Muthiganj , Attarsuiya and Kothaparcha urging the voters to elect him.
Anand Mohan, another independent candidate for the post of mayor, visited Civil Lines where he assured the people that if he won the election, he would beautify the city.
